GOTCHA!

On Father's Day, the Haymore sister-in-laws pulled a fast one on the Haymore brothers!

The moms made a lunch filled with lots of love that included an intentionally burnt tuna casserole, pickled beats, potato salad, peas and green jello with shredded carrots and pears. As you can imagine, not one brother would particularly care to eat any of the food listed above. The dads didn't pay any attention to the moms setting up the buffet-style dinner, and we simply acted busy when we heard the question, "What's for lunch?"

When lunch was "ready," Grandma gathered everyone around and told the men that they should serve themselves first on their special day. The women immediately backed away from the food to hide their uncontrollable laughter. Grandpa loaded his plate and sat down to eat while the boys struggled to find one item to put on their plates. Jeff sat down with only green jello on his plate, while Brinton and Richard kept sniffing the tuna casserole trying to figure out if they should eat it.

After we all had a good laugh, we enjoyed our real dinner - steak, potatoes and corn on the cob. One of the best gifts one could give is the gift of laughter. We love our dads!
